In welcoming the 79th Indonesian Independence Day, personnel of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Marine and Air Patrol unit worked together with Sikka Maritime Institution to clean the sea and share the Indonesian Flag to the locals of Wuring, West Alok District, on Sunday (8/11/2024).
The social activity aims to boost public awareness on the importance of preserving the beach and the ocean and spark their nationalism towards the country.
On the other hand, the coastal community of Wuring welcomes the social activity as they showed their enthusiasm by helping personnel to clean the ocean and fly the Red and White flag at their homes.
The presence of Marine and Air Patrol Unit and Sikka Marine Institution has instilled new spirit and pride for the people of Wuring to celebrate the Indonesian Independence Day.
Moreover, people are also aware that flying the Indonesian Flag is part of their expression to show their love to the country.
Personnel of the marine patrol unit hopes that their activity would be beneficial for the people of Wuring as they remind the importance of preserving the ocean.
