Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) in Bali has recovered on Saturday (10/5/2025) the body of a Jordanian man, who was swept away while swimming at Batu Belig Beach five days ago.
Local fishermen spotted the body of Hosam Bassam Mousa Aleakkar, also known as Ozam, floating off Kedonganan waters at around 8.30 am local time on Saturday. Basarnas immediately dispatched a rubber boat and jet ski to the coordinates—approximately 12 nautical miles from Pantai Kelan.
By 10.15 am, the team had brought the 27-year-old’s remains ashore. His family confirmed his identity shortly after the evacuation, according to antaranews.com.
Ozam had gone missing on 6 May 2025 while swimming at around midnight. Efforts to locate him had been hampered by rough sea conditions and equipment limitations. The body was finally found after an intensive multi-agency operation involving sea and air search units.
