Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) reported on Monday (23/3/2026) that the return flow of travelers toward Jakarta has begun to increase gradually, with authorities bracing for a two-stage peak expected on 24, 28 and 29 March 2026.
"The return flow is already visible with a gradual rise in vehicle volume. We urge the public to plan their journeys carefully and take advantage of existing policies to ensure a staggered return," said Senior Superintendent Marupa Sagala, the spokesperson for the 2026 Operation Ketupat Task Force, as cited by antaranews.com
Data from Sunday showed approximately 122,994 vehicles entering Jakarta, a 3.73 percent increase compared to the previous year's Eid period. To manage the upcoming peak, the INP will launch a national one-way scheme on Tuesday, stretching from kilometer 414 Kalikangkung to kilometer 70 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
In addition, travelers are encouraged to use the Jakarta–Cikampek II South Toll Road as an alternative route, which remains free of charge on specific segments during the operation to help alleviate pressure on the main artery.
