inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) reminds the public to undergo therapy with biological products at authorized healthcare facilities and under the supervision of competent medical personnel.

"The public is urged to undergo therapy using biological products at authorized healthcare facilities and under the supervision of qualified and competent medical personnel," said BPOM Head Taruna Ikrar, Wednesday (8/27/2025).

He conveyed this in connection with the findings and action taken by BPOM against a distribution facility for illegal stem cell-derived products or secretomes, namely a veterinary clinic in Magelang, Central Java.

Ikrar also urged the public to continue to improve their knowledge about various medicinal products, as well as food. According to the BPOM Head, people should be smart and empowered, so they can avoid products that pose a health risk.

On the same occasion, the BPOM Head also reminded the public to immediately report to BPOM if they find any suspected illegal distribution activities of biological products in their environment. BPOM is always open to public reports.

"The public is expected to immediately report if they know or suspect any illegal production, storage, or distribution of biological products in their environment," the Head of BPOM requested.

The public can submit information or reports to BPOM through thelapor.go.id website,the HALOBPOM Contact Center at 1500533, the nearest BPOM Office, local law enforcement, and various official BPOM social media accounts.
