inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Communication and Digital is taking strategic steps to improve the accuracy of social assistance distribution by synchronizing the National Socioeconomic Data (DTSEN) and population and civil registration data (Dukcapil).
This effort aims to prevent errors in targeting social assistance recipients and ensure more transparent and effective distribution.
"We have begun data synchronization, starting with DTSEN which is then matched with Dukcapil data. This way, we can determine whether someone is truly eligible or worthy of receiving social assistance," said the Ministry of Communication and Digital Director General of Digital Government Technology (TPD), Mira Tayyiba, Wednesday (8/27/2025).
Mira explained that this policy was implemented after the results of the evaluation and the 2024 National Socioeconomic Survey found that 45 percent of Family Hope Program (PKH) recipients were not properly targeted, with the error value reaching IDR 14 trillion. This condition was caused by data missynchro across agencies.
Furthermore, the Director General of Mira emphasized the importance of implementing digitalization in the distribution of social assistance to promote transparency. Through the digital system, the public can even nominate themselves as potential recipients, although their eligibility status will still be verified through an integrated system.
The government will begin implementing the digitalization of the social assistance program in September 2025 in Banyuwangi, East Java, which has been designated as a pilot area. Evaluation results from this area will later serve as a reference for national implementation.
