inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, revealed that the national price of cayenne pepper fell 18.29 percent in the third week of August 2025 compared to the same period a month earlier.

"In general, the price of cayenne pepper is currently experiencing a downward trend," she said, as reported by RRI on Tuesday (8/26/2025). In fact, the price of this pepper is now within the government's reference price (HAP) range.

According to her, the average national price of cayenne pepper is now IDR 52,340 per kilogram. This means it is still below the upper limit of the HAP of IDR 57,000.

Meanwhile, the lower limit of the HAP is set at IDR 40,000 per kilogram. Amalia emphasized that under these conditions, the national price of cayenne pepper is relatively stable.

The highest price of cayenne pepper was recorded in Nduga Regency, reaching IDR 200,000 per kilogram. Then in Mappi Regency, it was IDR 189,286 per kilogram, and Puncak Regency was IDR 175,000 per kilogram.
