Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed two field kitchen vehicles, to support residents affected by the Pasar Jiung market fire in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/6/2026).
Brimob Commander Senior Superintendent. Henik Maryanto instructed his officers to provide immediate humanitarian assistance.
“Brimob must be present among the community, especially during hardship. This aid is expected to ease the burden of fire victims,” he said.
From the mobile kitchens, Brimob officers distributed more than 200 meal boxes to displaced residents, including children and the elderly. They visited shelters throughout the day to deliver food directly to victims.
In addition to food distribution, Brimob officers remain on standby at the site to assist with security and post-fire recovery efforts alongside other agencies.
The fire destroyed hundreds of semi-permanent homes, leaving many families without shelter or belongings.
