Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police distributed financial assistance to 48 orphans during a religious gathering at the Al Ikhlas Mosque within the police headquarters in Kemayoran on Monday.

The charity event featured prominent preacher Ustaz Das'ad Latif under the theme "Guard the Heart, Care for the Nation" (Menjaga Hati, Merawat Negeri), attended by Central Jakarta Police Deputy Chief Superintendent Mirzal Maulana and local community members.

Central Jakarta Police Chief Senior Superintendent Reynold E.P. Hutagalung said that the initiative highlights the force's commitment to humanitarian outreach alongside traditional law enforcement duties.

"Through this event, we want to share happiness and provide attention to orphaned children," he said on Tuesday (27/10/2026). "Caring for the nation begins with simple acts, such as sharing, helping one another, and fostering affection."

The children, escorted by Bhabinkamtibmas community policing officers, received donations to support their welfare and strengthen police-community bonds across Central Jakarta.
