inp.polri.go.id - Southeast Sulawesi. The Traffic Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, along with the Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Land Transportation Management Agency (BPTD), monitored the implementation of portable red lights at the 4-way intersection of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Traffic Park.
This portable red light deployment is the first of its kind in Southeast Sulawesi, and is an innovation by the Southeast Sulawesi BPTD to support traffic management, particularly at intersections with high traffic density. This innovation is expected to be a solution to improve the smooth flow of vehicles while minimizing the potential for traffic conflicts and accidents.
This monitoring activity is a follow-up to a joint trouble spot survey led by the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Chief and relevant agencies. This joint survey aims to identify traffic problems in the field and formulate concrete, measurable, and sustainable solutions.
Based on preliminary observations, the implementation of portable traffic lights at the 4-way intersection of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Traffic Park has shown positive results, with traffic flow observed to be smoother. Monitoring and evaluation will continue to ensure the effectiveness of the device's operation and optimize its benefits for the community.
The public now are expected to pay attention to and obey traffic light signals and prioritize safety while driving.
As part of the implementation of Operation Patuh Anoa 2026, the people of Southeast Sulawesi are also expected to be more aware and comply with traffic regulations, from obeying signs and road markings to respecting the rights of other road users.
