Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Java Regional Police have deployed a Traffic Accident Analysis (TAA) team to investigate a collision between the Argo Bromo Anggrek train and a car at an ungated level crossing in Grobogan.
The accident, which occurred on 1 May 2026, in Sidorejo Village, resulted in five fatalities, including two children.
"The 3D Scanner technology can reconstruct the vehicle positions, impact points, and site conditions in detail," said Central Java Traffic Director, Senior Superintendent Pratama Adhyasastra, on Sunday (3/5/2026).
He said that this scientific approach ensures the investigation remains precise and accountable.
The incident involved a Toyota Avanza carrying nine passengers that was struck by the eastbound train during the early hours of Friday. Investigators conducted the digital crime scene processing on Saturday to determine the exact cause of the tragedy.
