Central Java Regional Police has deployed a forensic laboratory (Labfor) team to investigate the cause of a fire that engulfed a karaoke venue on Jalan Veteran in Tegal on Monday morning (15/1/2024), claiming the lives of six individuals. "The Labfor team from Central Java Regional Police has been deployed to determine the cause of the fire," confirmed Police Senior Superintendent Satake Bayu Setianto, Head of Public Relations of Central Java Police, He noted that the police are yet to establish the cause of the fire. In addition to the six fatalities, three other individuals, occupants of the karaoke establishment, are currently undergoing treatment at Kardinah Hospital in Tegal City. The six victims have been identified as Nurmala Andrianti (21) from Purwakarta Regency, Ika Nurhayatin (27) from West Bandung Regency, Putri Nur Fajar (29) from Cirebon Regency, Anggun Silviana (23) from Tegal Regency, Ajeng Siti Womariyah (27) from Pemalang Regency, and Ila Saripah (31) from Purwakarta Regency.
