Central Java Police to Secure Repeat Voting

Inp.polri.go.id - Semarang. Central Java Regional Police secured the repeat voting in 26 polling stations  and re-run voting in 114 polling stations across 13 district and cities in the province on Sunday (18/2/ 2024). The district and the cities that conducted repeat voting include Purworejo, Boyolali, Kebumen, Jepara, Pemalang, Magelang, Rembang , Tegal city , Tegal regenc, Purbalingg, Wonosobo, Sragen, and Sukoharjo. "260 police personnel and 130 military personnel have been prepared. Security personnel will guard the second ring of polling station, while Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas  officers will monitor and maintain security in the third ring," said the Central Java Police Public Relations Unit Head, Senior Superintendent Satake Bayu Setianto, referring to the village monitoring officer sand the security and public order officers. He said that they have been prepared to secure the re-run voting activities in Demak, which was unable to do the voting on 14 February 2024 due to severe flooding. "For repeat voting, 10 police officers and 5 military personnel will guard each polling station, while for re-run voting, 2 police officers and 1 military personnel will secure each polling station," Chief Satake explained.
