Central Java Regional Police Distributed 39,000 Packages of Nine-Basic-Needs and 231 Tons of Rice to Communities Affected by Emergency PPKM

Concerning on community affected by the implementation of Emergency ppkm (Community Activity Restriction), Central Java Regional Police distributed social assistance from the Government to people of Central Java Province. Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi, said Central Java Regional Police distributed approximately 2.5 tons of rice and 500 packages of nine-basic-needs known as sembako. This effort is expected to be able to ease the burden of people affected by Covid-19 pandemic. Central Java Regional Police as of July 3-19 have distributed total of 39,000 packages of nine-basic-needs and 231,000 kg rice to people affected by the implementation of Emergency PPKM throughout Central Java. The targets are pedicab drivers, street vendors, bus drivers, horse cart drivers and motorcycle taxi drivers. "This will be done continuously until the end of the implementation of this Emergency PPKM," Chief of Central Java Regional Police explained. The two-star general also advised people to celebrate Eid al-Adha 2021 at home. This is for the sake of maintaining health for all residents, as well as in accordance with the policy of central government. “We urge and ask the public to obey existing regulation. People stay at home and conduct worship in their respective homes, "Chief of Central Java Regional Police explained. This is inseparable from the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in the country. Therefore, Chief of Central Java Regional Police again reminded the people of Central Java to remain disciplined in implementing health protocols, as an effort to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
