Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The relocation of civil servants (ASN) to the new capital, Nusantara (IKN), will now be decided by the incoming administration under President-elect Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Abdullah Azwar Anas. said on Wednesday (2/101/2024).

He explained that while 500 apartment units are ready, road infrastructure and digital systems in East Kalimantan need improvement.

“Currently, roads are dusty, and digital systems require further development,” Minister Anas said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The Ministry has prepared multiple plans, but the final decision will depend on the new government. Preparations are ongoing, with progress on office facilities being promising. However, Minister Anas emphasized that the timing is up to the next administration.

The initial relocation phase targets ASN from ministries, special quotas for new recruits in IKN, and transfers of provincial employees. The focus remains on short-term strategies to ensure the smooth transition and effectiveness of government operations in IKN through a digital working environment.
