inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. Jambi Regional Police held a Coordination Meeting on the Biker Gang Handling Strategy. The meeting was led by Jambi Regional Police Chief Inspector General Krisno and attended by Jambi Governor along with other regional officials.

The meeting was held in response to the many biker gang activities in the province. Through this forum, all stakeholders can unify their perceptions and strengthen collaboration in comprehensive efforts to prevent and handle the biker gangs.

Krisno emphasized that the phenomenon of biker gangs cannot be underestimated as an ordinary juvenile delinquency. Various acts of violence, such as brawls, assaults, vandalism of public facilities, drug abuse, possession of sharp weapons, and the spread of terror through social media, have become a real threat to public order and security.

He also stated that law enforcement remains necessary to ensure legal certainty, but it must be balanced with education, character building, youth empowerment, and the involvement of all elements of society. 

"Fighting biker gangs cannot rely solely on law enforcement. We must work together through education, prevention, guidance, rehabilitation, and collaboration with all elements of society to prevent the younger generation from falling into criminal acts that harm themselves and others," said Krisno on Wednesday (7/8/2026).

As a form of shared commitment, all participants in the Coordination Meeting signed the Declaration on the Eradication of Biker Gangs in Jambi Province, a concrete step towards building collaboration to create a conducive security situation in Jambi Province.

Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Erlan Munaji, stated that this Coordination Meeting served as a starting point for strengthening synergy among all stakeholders in addressing the threat of motorcycle gangs, which have become a social and criminal issue.
