Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Public Information and Communication Usman Kansong says the telecommunication infrastructures for the 79th Independence Day Ceremony in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) are sufficient.

"Cellular providers have provided cellular network infrastructure at the ceremony location, both by permanent tower construction and camouflage pole as well as base transceiver station," said Usman on Wednesday (8/7/2024).

He explains that according to the measurement done by his party, network coverage around the ceremony location is adequate and can be used well under certain conditions and number of users.

Guaranteeing internet and telecommunications network to go smoothly during the ceremony, Usman says various initiatives have been taken by the ministry, IKN Authority, and telecommunication providers.

To strengthen cyber security during the independence ceremony, the Communication and Information Ministry has coordinated with The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and IKN Authority to anticipate potential cyber threats during the ceremony.

Furthermore, Usman adds that coordination continue to be done with other parties to maintain information and communication during the event.
