inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar stated that Community Schools need to be a game changer to continuously improve community welfare and break the cycle of poverty.

"Community Schools must be a game changer that continuously improves community welfare. According to Presidential Decree No. 120 of 2025, Community Schools are an integral part of poverty alleviation and community welfare programs," explained Muhaimin on Wednesday (4/29/2026).

He stated that People's Schools are a direct initiative of President Prabowo Subianto as part of a broader vision to provide fast, targeted, and directly impactful education for the poor.

To date, there are 166 People's Schools spread across 34 provinces, reaching more than 15,820 students from poor families.

This program not only provides access to education but also provides facilities and a learning ecosystem that were previously difficult for vulnerable communities to access.

"Therefore, the People's School, in addition to addressing and breaking the cycle of poverty, is also an adaptive and competitive education system," said the Coordinating Minister for PM.

He also emphasized the importance of program sustainability through strengthening governance and developing the future of People's School graduates.
