inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Cooperatives and the Ministry of Communication and Digital are collaborating to push the digitalization of the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (KopDes Merah Putih).
This collaboration focuses on strengthening the Village Cooperative Information System (Si Kopdes).
Minister of Cooperatives Budi Arie Setiadi stated that this collaboration aims to optimize the "Si Kopdes" microsite service as a platform for digitalizing cooperatives in Indonesia.
"We are collaborating to realize the digitalization of cooperatives in Indonesia, especially strengthening the digital ecosystem in the management of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative," said Minister Budi on Wednesday (8/27/2025).
According to Budi, there are five strategic issues that will be the focus of the cooperation between the two ministries, namely: network connectivity, data centers, platform applications, public communication management in the operation of KopDes Merah Putih, and digital literacy and digital talent training for human resources.
He said that information regarding this training will later be posted on the "Si Kopdes" microsite to facilitate socialization and independent data updates.
On the same occasion, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Secretary General Ismail emphasized the ministry’s commitment to providing digital infrastructure.
Ismail says that his party prioritizes strengthening infrastructure in frontier, disadvantaged, and outermost (3T) regions, which are often not commercially served.
"We have a program for the 3T regions that are not commercially served; that's what we are focused on," said Ismail.
He added that the ministry will ensure the availability of connectivity, especially bandwidth, in these areas.
Ismail also said that they will optimize the use of satellite connections at 27,800 internet access points throughout Indonesia to reach remote locations.
