The Government Digital Transformation Acceleration Committee will implement President Prabowo Subianto's directive to accelerate the digitalization of public services by utilizing artificial intelligence technology (GovTech AI).

Chairman of the National Economic Council, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, stated that the implementation of AI-based GovTech is projected to significantly increase budget efficiency through bureaucratic efficiency and the digitalization of public services.

"The potential efficiency is estimated to reach IDR 350 trillion to IDR 400 trillion, which will help the government reduce the budget deficit until 2026," said DEN Chairman Luhut, Wednesday (8/27/2025).

On the same occasion, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, as Deputy Chair II of the Digital Transformation Acceleration Committee, stated that the acceleration of digital transformation can be realized with the support of cross-sectoral agencies in planning, financing, procurement, and implementation.

Meutya stated that her ministry will oversee the fulfillment of technical requirements for the implementation of GovTech AI.

"Our team on the Committee will oversee the details, including the selection of the most appropriate technology to be used amidst the rapid development of technology," Minister Meutya said.

In implementing digital transformation in government, the Ministry of Communication and Digital is tasked with managing digital infrastructure, digital applications, digital data coordination, and cybersecurity coordination with the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency.
