Crime Cases Decrease by 27 on September 6-7: INP

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has reported a decrease in the number of crime cases on September 6-7, 2023 period. "In general, the incidents of public order disturbances increased by 27 cases or 1,55%. Specifically, on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, there were 1.746 incidents, and on Thursday, September 7, 2023, there were 1.719 incidents," said Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, Head of the Public Affairs Bureau of the INP Public Relations Division, on Friday (8/9/23). "These include aggravated theft, narcotics, motor vehicle theft, gambling, and violent theft," he said, highlighting five types of crime cases with the highest number of incidence. Aggravated theft accounted for 179 cases, narcotics for 127 cases, motor vehicle theft for 54 cases, gambling for 13 cases, and violent theft for 19 cases, he further detailed. Additionally, there were also 344 traffic accidents on September 7 or a decrease of 46 cases or 11,79% compared to the previous day which saw 390 incidents. He elaborated, "Out of these 344 incidents, there were 20 fatalities, 47 severe injuries, 325 minor injuries, and material losses totaling Rp 621.150.000." (ndt/hn/nm)
