inp.polri.go.id - Yahukimo. The 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force transferred three suspects from the Yahukimo Armed Criminal Group (KKB) to Jayapura. The transfer was carried out to undergo further legal proceedings at the Papua Regional Police.
The three were previously on the wanted list (DPO) and are known to be figures in the KKB network operating in the region. The three suspects are Homi Heluka, Enage Hiluka, and Kotor Payage, also known as Kotoran Giban.
They were previously detained in Yahukimo and then transferred to Jayapura for security reasons, with tight security by personnel from the Cartensz 2026 Peace Operation Task Force to anticipate any disruption during the transfer process.
The Head of Public Relations for the 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force, Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo, explained that the three suspects are strongly suspected of involvement in various crimes, ranging from arson and vandalism to serious assault and murder.
"Today, we have transferred three suspects from Yahukimo to Jayapura. They are fugitives and infamous figures from armed criminal groups in the Yahukimo area. This transfer was made for security reasons for further legal proceedings at the Papua Regional Police," said Yusuf on Monday (2/23/2026).
They were moved via Sentani Airport in Jayapura at around 2:00 PM under tight security from joint task force officers. Upon arrival in Jayapura, the three suspects underwent a medical examination at the Bhayangkara Hospital Level II Jayapura before undergoing further questioning by the Papua Regional Police Investigation Sub-task team.
The 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that this step is part of a measured law enforcement strategy.
"The suspects are being handled professionally and in accordance with applicable law. We are ensuring that every process runs smoothly, including security measures and a thorough investigation to uncover the wider network," he said.
