Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Indonesian National Police Police’s Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, has highlighted the critical importance of road safety for the upcoming 2026 Lebaran homecoming and return flows.
Launching the official campaign theme, "Safe Mudik, Happy Family," hel emphasized that arrival safety is the ultimate prerequisite for holiday joy.
"Safety is a collective responsibility; your discipline on the road determines the wellbeing of yourself and others," Chief Agus said on Monday (23/4/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
Set for a formal launch on 3 March 2026, the campaign encourages travelers to prioritize physical fitness and vehicle roadworthiness before departing.
To mitigate risks, the Traffic Corps are preparing various traffic engineering schemes, integrated service posts, and security checkpoints. Drivers are urged to strictly adhere to traffic signs and officer directions, while also avoiding the dangers of driving while fatigued.
