inp.polri.go.id - Dekai. The 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force arrested men with the initials OK and IK in connection with a murder and assault case in Dekai City, Yahukimo Regency. Both are suspected of being connected to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) network of the XVI Yahukimo Regional Military Command (KODAP) Sisibia Battalion.

The Head of the 2026 Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, revealed that suspect OK was allegedly involved in three violent incidents throughout 2025.

These cases include the serious assault of a migrant named Nurdin on November 1, 2025, on Jenderal Sudirman street; the murder of Yohanes Entamoni on August 6, 2025, at the Kali WO Housing Complex; and the murder of Ramli M. on December 25, 2025, on Sosial Kali Bonto street, Dekai District.

"Meanwhile, suspect IK is suspected of involvement in the murder of Ramli M. The victim was found to have suffered fatal slash wounds to the neck, wounds to the back, and cuts to the hands, which caused the victim to die at the scene," he explained on Wednesday (1/28/2026).

According to him, authorities secured several pieces of evidence, including sharp weapons and other items related to the crime. He ensured that the legal process for both cases was carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code, upholding the presumption of innocence and guaranteeing the suspect's rights.

"Investigations regarding other perpetrators suspected of involvement are still ongoing," he said.

He emphasized that solving this case is part of the authorities' commitment to protecting the public and enforcing the law professionally. Any act of violence against civilians is a serious violation that cannot be tolerated.

"We are committed to resolving this case firmly, properly, and in accordance with applicable legal procedures," said Faizal.
