Investigators tracked him. following the prior arrest of a suspect named S.P., who is linked to the KKB Yaligem district command. Suspect A.G. allegedly brokered an 80 million rupiah transaction to procure an illegal long-barrel homemade firearm originating from a foreign national.
"This arrest is part of our commitment to sever the supply chain of illegal firearms supplying criminal groups in Papua," Damai Cartenz Task Force Head of Public Relations Chief Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo said on Wednesday (8/7/2026).
Law enforcement officials have processed 13 suspects tied to this network, and A.G. now faces up to 15 years in prison.
