Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura.  The Damai Cartenz Operation Task Force has confirmed that Andi Hasan (30), killed in Dekai, Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua, was a civilia, instead of a military agent, as claimed by the armed criminal group (KKB).

"The victim died from fatal assault wounds inflicted by the KKB. He was a civilian, not affiliated with the military," said Brigadier General Faizal Ramadani, the Head of Damai Cartenz Task Force, on Friday (25/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

He said that  the group falsely labeled Hasan as a military agent. 

“This is public disinformation. He had no ties to any security forces,” Chief Faizal asserted.

Hasan was attacked Thursday night in the Old DPR housing complex by three alleged KKB members armed with sharp weapons. He was taken to Dekai Regional Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Chief Faizal urged the public to remain calm and not be influenced by social media rumors.
