Inp.polri.go.id - Mimika. Officers from the Damai Cartenz Task Force visited the Laskar Pelangi Shelter in Mimika Baru District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua, on Friday (28/8/2026), delivering social aid and engaging children in play therapy.
Following the handover of basic supplies to shelter administrators, task force members, including police medical doctors and psychology teams, joined the children for informal interactive activities and games.
"In this activity, personnel did not just hand over assistance, but also played and interacted directly with the children," said Head of Damai Cartenz Task Force Inspector General Faizal Ramadhani.
Deputy Head of Operation Senior Superintendent Adarma Sinaga added that the psychology team conducted play therapy using simple, engaging activities to provide comfort and psychological support.
Shelter administrator Subhan Sahun said that the visit provided essential provisions and moral support for the children under their care.
