Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Damai Cartenz Peace Task Force has officially handed over Second Brigadier La Ode Sultan Zaldi Saim, a member of Lanny Jaya Sub-regional Police, to prosecutors in Wamena for selling ammunition to civilians.
“The handover took place on Monday after the case file was declared complete. We also transferred Praedy Wanimbo, alias Kenyam, the ammunition buyer,” said Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani,the Damai Cartenz Task Force Commander, on Tuesday (8/7/2025).
The suspects were flown under tight security to Wamena and are now detained at Jayawijaya Class Correctional Facility pending trial.
“There is zero tolerance, even for police officers. If proven guilty, law enforcement will proceed without exception,” Chief Faizal emphasized, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Second Brigadier La Ode turned himself in to Papua Regional Police on 17 May 2025 after his illegal actions were exposed. He admitted to selling ammunition since 2017, continuing in 2021, and again in 2025.
