Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf announced that 63 Sekolah Rakyat learning centers will officially begin operating on 14 July 2025.

“As of today, 63 sites are fully ready to launch Sekolah Rakyat,” he said after a ministerial meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday (8/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

An additional 37 centers are expected to open by late July or early August, pending the completion of infrastructure. A second phase will target 100 more sites, in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive to double the number from 100 to 200.

The Health Ministry has also initiated free health checks for incoming students to ensure safe living conditions and prevent disease spread in dormitories.

Sekolah Rakyat is one of President Prabowo’s key initiatives, focused on providing educational access for children from poor and extremely poor families. The program is coordinated by a multi-ministerial task force.
