Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura.  The Damai Cartenz Task Force has seized 29 firearms from armed criminal groups (KKB) in Papua during operations carried out up to December 2025, police said on Tuesday (23/12/2205). 

The operation was conducted across 11 districts in three provinces, involving joint actions with the Indonesian Military (TNI) to uncover weapons networks and enforce the law.

“We are committed to cutting the supply of weapons and disinformation that fuel violence in Papua,” said Damai Cartenz Task Force Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Yusuf Sutejo, as reported by antaranews.com.

The Task Force also confiscated 4,194 rounds of ammunition, 45 magazines, two explosive materials, bladed weapons, and dozens of arrows. Authorities secured documents linked to coordinated hoax campaigns allegedly spread by pro-armed group influencers. In total, 45 suspects were arrested, with 20 formally named as suspects, while 15 armed members were killed during law enforcement operations.
