Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura.  The Commander of the Damai Cartenz Task Force, Brigadier General Faizal Rahmadani, confirmed on Saturday (26/7/2025) that the task force will take firm action against members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) responsible for recent violence against civilians in Papua.

“The task force will continue to pursue and punish those involved in the shooting and assault of civilians. We are committed to strict law enforcement,” he said, as quoted by antaranews.com

Chief Faizal emphasized that legal action would cover incidents in Intan Jaya, Yahukimo, and other regions of Papua, adding that transparency and accountability remain central to every investigation.

He also urged the public to remain calm and not be misled by unverified information.

“Let’s work together to maintain peace and safety in Papua,” Chief Faizal stated.

Two civilians, Joni Hendra and Andi Hasan, were killed in separate KKB attacks this week in Intan Jaya and Yahukimo.
