Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The air pollution and diseases continuously threaten the people of Jakarta. According to IQAir, the air pollution in Jakarta is now the third worst in the world on Monday (9/18/2023) morning.
The data shows that the pollution rate for the now-capital of Indonesia is 149 at 07:55. Meanwhile, for the concentration of 2.5 Particulate Matter (PM) for Jakarta is at the level of 55 ,2 µg/m³ or 11 times higher from the standard of good air from WHO.
This puts Jakarta into orange status which means that the air quality is dangerous for those who are sensitive. The category itself differentiates into four colors with green considered good, yellow mild, with the worst falls with black as hazardous.
Due to this report, government officials implore the public to wear their mask even in room and avoid any unnecessary activities outside.
