Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Conflict between Papua Armed Criminal Group (KKB) and Indonesian Joint Security Forces ensues at 11:00 in Serambakon District, Papua Mountains. Conflict began when KKB ambushed the security forces on patrol. Head of 2023 Damai Cartenz Ops Public Relations, Bayu Suseno revealed that due to the gunfight, one member of the Indonesian National Police died. “Yes, there was an exchange between Damai Cartenz Ops and KKB at Yapimakot Village, Serambakon District, Papua Mountain at 11:00. The incident resulted the death of First Police Brigadier Agung,” said Bayu in his written statement on Monday (9/18/2023). According to him, the body have been evacuated to Oksibil Hospital. Meanwhile, the Ops are in pursuit of KKB. “Now the 2023 Damai Cartenz Ops is in pursuit of the Armed Criminal Group,” he said.
