Singapore Awards INP for Identifying Shipwreck Victim

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian Ambassador for Singapore awarded the Indonesian National Police (INP) for successfully identifying the shipwreck victims at Horsburgh Lighthouse Singapore. INP Medical and Health Center Chief, Inspector General Asep Hendradiana, representing INP accepted the award from Singapore through Indonesia Foreign Ministry. Asep states INP have successfully identify the victim through DNA test. The unidentified victim was then revealed to be an Indonesian citizen. “The body was identified as Lalu Ahmat Sapii, a man aged 37 from Bunpek, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. He was safely repatriated to his family in Batam, Riau Island,” said Asep in his written statement on Monday (9/18/2023). On this occasion, INP and Indonesian Ambassador for Singapore have discussed the possibility of continuous cooperation in soft skill training from INP Medical and Health division to Indonesian Ambassador staff for Singapore. “We also want to express our gratitude for all parties who support the process of identifying, repatriate, and the burial of the victim,” thanked Asep.
