inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, urged school students to avoid online gambling. This was conveyed while delivering material during the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) at Labschool Kebayoran Highschool, South Jakarta.
"Online gambling is tempting because it offers large profits, convenience, and has psychological effects that can be addictive. Therefore, we must anticipate this together," said Inspector General Sandi during his public lecture at Labschool Kebayoran Highschool on Tuesday (7/15/2025).
According to him, socializing on social media is also a challenge that must be anticipated in the future. Therefore, it is important to use it wisely.
"In cyberspace, we don't know who the other person is, we don't know whether we're socializing with someone younger or older, because their identities aren't necessarily true," explained Sandi.
In his remarks, he expected the Labschool Kebayoran Highschool students to work hard to achieve their dreams. Studying diligently, he said, is one way to achieve this goal.
Additionally, Sandi noted that Indonesia must be thoroughly prepared for the peak of the demographic bonus that will be experienced by the nation. Therefore, all students, including those at Labschool Highschool, must become agents of change for the nation from now on.
