inp.polri.go.id - The Counter Terrorism Special Detachment (Densus) 88 arrested a man at the Sidodadi Village Office, Kejuruan Muda District, Aceh Tamiang District, Aceh, on Wednesday (3/8/2022). Head of Public Relations of the Aceh Police, Commissioner Winardy, said, based on a report he received from the Head Unit of Densus 88 Aceh, the man who was secured had the initials of ISA (37). ISA is suspected of being the Aceh Regional Terrorist Coordinator of the Jemaah Islamiyah Network (JI). In addition, ISA is also the Chairperson of the FKPP Sumbagut Aceh Tamiang Region since 2010 until now. "The arrested terrorist is a coordinator and has an important role in JI," he said. "With the arrest of ISA, the total number of suspected terrorists who have been secured from various areas in Aceh is 15 people, both from the Jamaah Islamiah (JI) and Anshorut Daulah (AD) groups," he explained. Previously, Densus 88 had arrested 14 suspected terrorist in Aceh Province. Two people are from the AD network and 12 from the JI network.
