Herman Deru, attended the opening of the Super Garuda Shield 2022 Joint Military Training at the Widya Daya Yudha Field, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, Wednesday (3/8/2022).
The joint training, which was attended by thousands of army personnel from 13 countries, was opened by the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI), General TNI Muhammad Andika Perkasa, along with the Commander General of United States Pacific Army, General Charles Flynn.
The Governor of South Sumatra, H. Herman Deru, said he was proud of this joint military training, because there were districts directly involved in this training. Thus, he assessed that this event, which was attended by thousands of soldiers from 13 countries, will had a good impact on the economy.
General TNI Ahmad Andika also welcomed the soldiers from the 13 countries. He hopes that this joint training will establish and strengthen relations between countries so that later it will be useful for the community.
The 2022 Super Garuda Shield Latgabma will be held on August 1-14 2022 at three different locations, namely the Combat Training Center in Baturaja, the Marine Combat Training Center in Dabo Singkep, and the Combat Training Center in Amborawang.
The event was also attended by the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, the Governor of South Sumatra, the Sriwijaya Military Commander II, Major General TNI Agus Suhardi, South Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Toni Harmanto, M.H., Regent of East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, H. Lanosin, and the TNI's top leaders.
