The Indonesian National Police (INP) Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror Unit arrested two suspected terrorists, identified as ZA (47) and M (40), in Banda Aceh on Tuesday (8/5/2025). This arrest follows a series of operations to combat terrorism networks over the past few months.

An official from Densus 88 stated, "According to initial information, ZA is suspected of being involved in funding the activities of a terrorist organization. He is suspected of managing the flow of funds used to support the logistics and activities of the group," as reported by the Sindo website on Wednesday (August 6, 2025).

Meanwhile, M is suspected of playing a strategic role in the terror network in Aceh. "M was arrested on suspicion of playing a strategic role as a high-ranking member of the terror network in the Aceh region, responsible for recruiting members and developing action plans," he said.

Densus 88 confiscated several pieces of evidence from the two suspects, including a laptop, several cell phones, flash drives, and sharp weapons. "The investigative team suspects that this evidence contains important information in the form of group data, support networks, and documents related to the group's activities," he explained.

Currently, the two suspects are undergoing intensive questioning by the investigative team.
