inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian Minister of Cooperatives, Budi Arie Setiadi, emphasized the importance of synchronizing cross-ministerial regulations to accelerate the operations of the Merah Putih Village Cooperative (Kopdes).
In his statement, he emphasized that the Minister of Home Affairs and Village Regulations must align with the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 49 of 2025.
"The Minister of Home Affairs and Village Regulations must align with PMK 49/2025," he said, as reported by RRI on Tuesday (August 5, 2025).
He also emphasized the importance of involving law enforcement officials such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), the Prosecutor's Office, and the police in program oversight.
The financing scheme will involve cooperatives, Himbara banks such as BNI, and local governments. However, Budi emphasized that the challenges for cooperatives extend beyond capital.
"Cooperatives must be managed professionally, modernly, and digitally," he said.
Concluding, he emphasized the need for collaboration with Himbara in financial literacy and digital-based assistance. This is to ensure that Kopdes Merah Putih can develop sustainably and transparently.
