The Indonesian National Police (INP) Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-Terror, works together with Jambi Educational Office, held a socialization on the Prevention of Intolerance, Radicalism, Extremism, and Terrorism (IRET) for School Principal, Vice Principal, and school officials on Monday (2/2/2026).
The socialization, participated by 100 people offline and 1,681 online, aimed to raise awareness and commitment of educators in preventing extremism in the learning environment.
Head of Jambi Densus 88 Anti-Terror, Senior Superintendent Beri Diatra, says that his party is ready to prevent and act against all kinds of radicalism in Jambi.
“There are no religions that demand their followers to do violence. Radicalism is wrong and must be prevented properly,” says Beri.
Head of Jambi Educational Office, M. Umar My, gave his appreciation to Densus 88 Anti-Terror in preventing the spread of radicalism in learning activities.
“The activity is the first step of commitment in preventing IRET ideologies from affecting students and teachers” says Umar.
The socialization was also attended by Muktamar Hamdi, Expert Staff II to the Governor of Jambi, who emphasized the important role of teachers and parents in preventing the spread of radical ideology.
"Teachers are at the forefront of educating the nation and instilling the values of religious moderation, tolerance, and critical thinking in students," he said.
