The Special Detachment 88 Anti-Terror Unit (Densus 88) carried out a raid on the rented house of a suspected terrorist named S in Gelam Barat Village, Tangerang Regency, Banten. "We assisted Densus 88 in securing the suspected terrorist's rented house," confirmed Police Senior Superintendent Sigit Dany Setiyono, Chief of Tangerang Sub-Regional City Police, on Monday (18/12/23). However, he did not provide detailed information regarding the chronological details of the raid on the residence occupied by the suspected terrorist. Local residents reported that Densus 88 conducted the search around 9 am, with tight police guarding. The operation lasted about an hour, during which several items were confiscated. "There were many officers guarding during the search. They took laptops/computers, but I'm not sure about the exact number," said a local resident, who chose not to disclose his name. The suspected terrorist, residing there for around one and a half years, worked as a mobile coffee seller, often stationed near a hospital in the Pasar Kemis area.
