Inp.polri.go.id - Lamongan. Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said that the presence of the Development Territorial Battalion will significantly improve public welfare. 

During an inspection of the Battalion TP 887/KTM headquarters on Wednesday (29/4/2026), the Minister highlighted the unit's dual role in defense and community development.

"The presence of Battalion TP 887/KTM in Lamongan is not only for defense but also to help the people. Soldiers will be involved in food security programs, disaster management, and regional development," Minister Sjafrie said, as quoted by antaranews.com. 

He urged soldiers to manage Lamongan's natural resources to benefit the local community.

The Minister also inspected soldier facilities, including barracks and kitchens, to ensure high standards of living.
