Coordinating Minister Djamari highlighted the widespread spread of slander and fake news that can divide society. He stated that strategic collaboration with the media is crucial to correcting distorted information.

"If we collaborate, it will be easier to develop this nation. We must not give space to parties who want to weaken national resilience through negative information," said Coordinating Minister Djamari on Thursday (2/5/2026).

While emphasizing unity, he assured that the government remains open to criticism. For him, criticism is a crucial instrument for evaluating performance and strengthening democracy.

"No country has collapsed because of criticism; in fact, many have become stronger because they have the courage to listen. Criticism is a form of public concern to ensure that power remains within the right corridors," he said.

The event was appreciated by several editors-in-chief of national media outlets in attendance. They agreed that two-way communication between the government and the press is key to maintaining political stability and national security.

The meeting concluded with a commitment from both parties to maintain regular communication to create a healthy public space.
