Inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura.  The Dogiyai Sub-regional Police in Papua have been investigating a shooting by unidentified assailants at the Ikebo security post in Kamuu Selatan, Dogiyai Regency.

Papua Regional Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, said on Friday (2/8/2024) the incident occurred on Thursday around 11 am. Three gunmen monitored the post before one opened fire, targeting the post's front glass.

The attackers fled on a motorcycle towards Mauwa. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Dogiyai Police and the Damai Cartenz Task Force continued to hunt the suspects.

Dogiyai Police Chief, Senior Inspector Sarraju, added that joint military and police patrols are conducted to prevent further incidents.
