Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) unanimously approved Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto, the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), as the next Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP) during a fit and proper test at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Thursday (1/10/2026), succeeding General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
"Directly to the point, can this be approved by acclamation?" asked House Commission III Chairman Habiburokhman, receiving unanimous agreement from all members present across political factions.
The decision followed Presidential Letter No. R57/Pres/09/2026, dated 30 September 2026, regarding the honorable discharge and appointment of the INP Chief.
During his confirmation hearing, Chief Suyudi highlighted aligning police duties with President Prabowo Subianto's Astacita vision, focusing on political and legal reform, anti-corruption, counter-narcotics, and national security, while maintaining strict institutional boundaries.
The committee's approval will be brought to a DPR Plenary Session for final confirmation.
