inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A clash of two groups broke out in Kepanduan Street, Penjaringan, North Jakarta. The clash had gone viral in social media.

From the viral video, there are several people seen pointing out their weapons. The clash between the two groups happened in the middle of the road, causing the vehicle to halt their move.

Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam says the clash was due to misunderstanding between the two groups.

“From the statement of the witness, the clash occurred due to misunderstanding,” says Ade on Thursday (9/5/2024).

According to Ade Ary, at least there is a victim with the initials of K who suffered injuries following the clash. K was hit in his head and his left arm. 

“K suffered a laceration on the upper part of his head, and a bow wound on his left arm," he explained.

On the other hand, The Head of North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Gidion Arif Setyawan also confirms about the victim of the conflict. The victim now is being treated at hospital for further medical attention.

“Situation at the location is now under control,” concludes Gidion Arif Setyawan.
