Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Imam Sugianto inspects the venues if U-17 FIFA World Cup 2023 at Gelora Bung Tomo stadium in Surabaya on Sunday (11/5/2023).
“Today we ensure the security preparations for the U-17 World Cup at Gelora Bung Tomo stadium would be held smoothly and safely,” says the police chief.
He stressed that the crucial point that must be highlighted is traffic engineering, “We have prepared the first ring for the access of football supporters, the determined road in the second ring will be prohibited for the two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.
Imam also says the committee has prepared transportations for all routes going to the stadium.
“Committee will prepare shuttle bus with all routes going to the stadium. With this, we forbid any two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles from entering the stadium,” says Imam.
To ensure a conducive and secure situation, the East Java Regional Police will deploy 3,951 personnel which has been designed to adapt with the dynamics of the field.
“We pray that everything would go smoothly, secure, and safely,” conclude Imam.
