East Java Police Seize 88 Kg of Meth from Fredy Pratama Network

Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya.  East Java Regional Police have intercepted 88 kg of methamphetamine and 2,100 ecstasy pills linked to the international drug network of Fredy Pratama.

East Java Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto said on Tuesday (23/7/2024) that the arrested two suspects were identified as ABM, 35, from Bandung, currently residing in Kalimantan Selatan, and YDS, 22, from Palangkaraya, also in South Kalimantan. Suspect ABM was arrested on 24 May 2024, in Banjar, while YDS was captured on 21 June 2024, in Banjarmasin.

Suspect ABM had 41 packages of meth, weighing 43.5 kg, and 2,100 ecstasy pills, all hidden in tea packages. He claimed that the drugs were entrusted to him by Fredy Pratama and was paid Rp 20 million for his role. Suspect ABM is a repeat offender, previously convicted of drug charges in 2017.

Suspect YDS was found with 45 kg of meth in 43 tea packages. He was promised Rp 200 million for delivering the drugs. Both suspects face charges under Indonesia's Narcotics Law No. 35/2009.
