Inp.polri.go.id – East Java. East Java Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Imam Sugianto ensures the readiness of police preparation for the 2024 General Election Voting day. "We have did an evaluation to prevent members from exhaustion. And from that evaluation, we decided to add assigned more members for the operation," said Imam on Tuesday (2/13/2024). He adds that from evaluation, his party will shift every personnel who guards the polling stations. "Obviously it is impossible to secure the polling stations 1x24 hours non-stop. So, in this operation, members who have guarded the polling stations from the morning will be replaced by new members by the evening," explained Imam. Moreover, in securing the peak event of the 2024 General Election, he instructed his members to maintain their prime condition. "We are now in the middle of extreme weather, so we provided our members with multivitamins. However, I still implore my members who are not feeling well while on duty to report to your head unit/team," said Imam. In every polling stations, his party implemented different security measures as they have divided the regions into three categories threat level. He ensures that vulnerable areas will be secured by more personnel. (ad/sy/pr/nm)
