Inp.polri.go.id – East Java. The East Java Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Luthfie Sulistiawan along with Regional Food Task Force, continue to go down to the field in anticipating food price increase ahead Ramadan.
It was stated directly by Luthfie during Analysis and Evaluation meeting with the Regional Team of Food Task Force and his ranks of Food Task Force through Zoom Meeting on Wednesday (3/6/2024).
“Ahead the holy month of Ramadan, we are sure that there would be an increase in demand from the public, which means there might be an increase in price,” explains Luthfie.
In their evaluation, Luthfie says that they will involve Security Intelligent Directorate and Public Relations Division in their task force.
Luthfie explains that the involvement of Security Intelligent Directorate was to early detect the price development at the market, while the involvement of Public Relations Division was to publicize the activity of the food task force and to inform about the food stock development.
“These three components must be aligned in carrying out their duties,” said Luthfie.
As of now, the price of Premium Rice, Medium Rice and Wheat Flour has a downward trend. Luthfie assures the rice price until Eid Al-Fitr is safe as there are 173,795 tons of it.
However, Luthfie continued that there is a significant increase in red chili for IDR 825. On the other hand, the price of chicken eggs and chicken meat also experienced increases.
