Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Ahead the 2024 General Election, East Java Regional Police held a coordination meeting in reviewing the strength of the institution. The meeting also discussed about personnel that will be scattered to every polling stations in East Java. “This meeting is to remind us of personnel that will be involved in polling station security and our preparation for the upcoming 2024 Election,” says Ops Bureau Head, Senior Superintendent Puji Santoso on Wednesday (1/10/2024). Puji also states that East Java Regional Police is committed to provide the election the best security. In its effort, the police also collaborate with the Indonesian Military Force (TNI) and related stakeholders involved in Mantap Brata Operation (OMB). “We have estimated personnel necessity for the 2024 election security in East Java while we also mapped the vulnerability level of each region. Currently, the institution has prepared 3,885 personnel that will be spread across all polling stations in East Java,” explained Puji. Furthermore, Puji adds that in the meantime East Java Regional Police will soon held a personnel preparation rally for the election security. This is to also make sure that the preparation and the strength of personnel, along with its equipment and facilities are well prepared. “The point is that we are committed to ensure the 2024 General Election would go smoothly, secured, and goes conducive. Moreover, we have done every steps and every measures to secure the election in accordance to the law,” says the Bureau Head in his closing statement. (ad/bg/pr/nm)
